Reines – 2024

Thanks to the success of Amour in 2023, Juliette Guignard, general director and violist, and Nina Lainville, co-founder and singer for the Atelier Misuk, decided to continue their work with a new projetc called  Reines. It was imagined as a path connecting the queens and queendom thematics with musical practice and the discovery of local heritage. Thanks to all of that, the participants will be able to dive in our history.

In order to complete this project sucessfully, the ensemble Les Surprises surrounded itself with several partners such as Audacia Poitiers, Ufolep ANCV and Ufolep86, the city and prefecture of Poitiers (Contrat territorial d’accueil et d’intégration), the tourism office of Grand Poitiers, the Sainte-Croix museum and the Oiron castle.

About eight participants coming from six different countries were able to make the most of this artistic and cultural education path offered by the ensemble Les Surprises :

  • The path is launched by a immersion weekend in the Oiron castle
  • About ten workshops of musical practice and cultural visits in three month
  • Closing in the Auditorium of the Sainte-Croix museum through a restitution show opened to the public, carried by the participants and musicians of the ensemble Les Surprises
